656 and 868 twin-wire fences compared
Twin-wire fencing is a practical solution for gardens, housing developments and commercial sites. Two horizontal wires and one vertical wire form its characteristic grid. The 656 and 868 versions differ in wire diameter.

656 or 868: the structural difference
Type 656 uses 6/5/6 mm wire; type 868 uses 8/6/8 mm wire. The heavier version suits projects requiring a more robust panel. The right choice depends on height, use and the complete structure.

Coordinate heights and fixings
The model documentation specifies panel heights from 830 to 2430 mm in defined increments and a panel width of 2500 mm. Posts and fixings are selected accordingly. Depending on the system, options include cover strips, brackets or clamps.

Matching GUARD pedestrian, swing and sliding gates complete the fence line. Gate frames, posts and fittings differ according to dimensions and function. The model pages therefore list fence panels and each gate type separately.

Privacy screening and installation conditions
Privacy strips change the open mesh appearance. A closed surface also changes wind loads: suitability, posts and foundations must be considered together. We plan the required specification and deliver throughout Germany.

Gates and connections with a matching grid
GUARD pedestrian gates, double-leaf gates and cantilever sliding gates are available with matching mesh infill. Frames and dimensions are selected for the function and opening. The DSM 656 and DSM 868 model pages list each component separately.

Maintenance and project schedule
Galvanised and coated finishes reduce routine maintenance. Fixings, damage and gate operation should still be checked regularly. Availability and installation dates are agreed for each order.

What does 8/6/8 mean?
The numbers give the wire diameters in millimetres: two horizontal wires of 8 mm each and one vertical wire of 6 mm.
Can both versions form a complete installation?
Yes. Matching pedestrian gates and entrance gates can be planned with the panels. We agree the dimensions and equipment for your project.
Which post fixings are available?
Depending on the system: U-brackets, clamps, hook bolts, panel brackets or cover strips. A suitable foundation is selected as well.
Can privacy strips be retrofitted?
Retrofitting must suit the panels, posts and foundations. The additional wind load is a key consideration.
