Cantilever: no ground rail across the driveway

A cantilever gate runs on roller carriages positioned to the side. Its counterbalance section and run-back area need additional space beside the opening. Foundations and guides are designed for the gate.

Tracked: a different space arrangement

A rolling sliding gate is guided on a ground rail. Depending on its construction, it may have different side-space needs. Ground preparation, drainage and keeping the rail clear are part of planning.

Steel profiles, aluminium or mesh allow a coordinated entrance. Permitted dimensions and frames differ by model. Model pages therefore list cantilever gate data separately from fence-panel data.

Integrate drive and controls

Manual operation and electric drives are possible depending on the system. Motor posts, guide portals, photocells and access equipment are coordinated. Remote control, RFID, intercoms and other compatible controls can be added as needed.

Available colours and finishes vary by material and model. The selected sample is definitive.

A finish suited to the material

Steel versions can be galvanised or galvanised and powder-coated. Suitable fine-textured finishes are available for aluminium. Colour, texture and specification are agreed before manufacture. Wood effect is a separate finish for compatible systems.

Height and opening to suit the model

Depending on the system, heights from 600 to 2500 mm and individual widths are provided for. Specific models may differ. Fence panels, garden gates and sliding gates within the same family have different height ranges and frames.

Check space requirements early

Besides the clear opening, allow for side run-back, guides, foundations and travel path. A tracked or special gate may suit limited space. A sketch showing side clearances helps the initial assessment.

How much space does a cantilever gate need?

In addition to the opening width, a structural counterbalance section and side run-back are needed. Exact space requirements follow from the gate design.

What if side space is limited?

We assess tracked, telescopic or other special gates. Options depend on the site.

What is an integrated drive post?

With a suitable construction, the drive is housed in the guide post. Service access, controls and cabling are planned accordingly.

What is a guide portal?

A portal comprises two guide posts. Depending on the system, a closed portal design is also possible.
